ABOUT BRUCE

BRUCE HAMILTON

Bruce is a Forensic Psychologist and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a Fellow of the APS College of Forensic Psychologists.  He has 25 years of experience working in the Criminal Justice System, and has been a registered psychologist for over 20 years.  

 

Bruce works in both the public forensic mental health system (10+ years) and in a private capacity with DGM psychology.  He enjoys working with all of his colleagues and particularly those at DGM. 

 

Bruce has extensive experience facilitating group based intervention programs targetting substance abuse, violence including family violence, and sexual offending.  He continues to provide supervision to facilitators of male DV perpetrator programs.  In more recent years his private practice has focussed upon individual treatment, particularly for high risk sexual offenders, as well as in the completion of independent forensic risk assessment reports.

Bruce also attends all Correction Centres and other departmental sites across Queensland for the completion of psychological risk and other forensic formal assessments.
