
ABOUT JESS
Jessica Ward
Jessica is an experienced Social Worker with over 13 years of practice across correctional, forensic mental health, and community-based settings. She has extensive expertise in the assessment and treatment of individuals involved in both sexual and violent offending. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Human Services and a Masters of Social Work, and is fully registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). She has also held senior clinical roles within Queensland Corrective Services.
Jessica has worked extensively with clients presenting with complex mental health needs and high-risk behaviours, including violence and sexual offending. She is trained in administering a range of structured professional judgement tools to assess risk related to violence and sexual reoffending.
In addition to assessment, Jessica has significant experience delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to complex and high-risk client groups, including individuals subject to forensic and treatment orders. Her clinical work spans both individual and group interventions, including facilitating alcohol and drug programs and sexual offending treatment programs across varying intensity levels.
Throughout her career, Jessica has also provided training and clinical consultation to professionals working in Corrections and Queensland Health. She adopts a trauma-informed and genuine approach to her work, grounded in experience, with a strong emphasis on collaborative, purposeful and practice- informed intervention.
